To get to the Vaal Oasis from Johannesburg you'll have to take the N1-South Highway towards Bloemfontein. Shortly after you've passed by Soweto off ramp you will reach the Grassmere Toll Plaza. At the Plaza reset your car's "Speedo/Odometer" and drive straight still N1 from the Toll Plaza for 38 km. Get off the N1 highway on the Vanderbijl Park / Potchefstroom (R53) off ramp. Reset the "Odo" again. Turn Right to Potchefstroom (R53) at the Ramp and drive straight for 12 km. After 12km you will come to a road junction. Reset the "Odo", Turn Left into Lindequesdrift and drive straight for 4 km. Turn Left immediately where the road curves to the right and on your right side you see a Shop. This turn is somewhat easy to miss as the local road is slightly below eye level! Drive for 2 km and you will see the gate (N:30) on your left. All roads are tarmac until you reach the Oasis gate.
